This is a U.S.-based classified (also known as “non-U.S.) intelligence (U.S.) intelligence source used for recruitment by the Chinese into Korea.”

The source is described as a contractor, with the same name as that from the NNSA (now named NNSA).

The reason for the inclusion of these two sources is that they are US contractors. The source for some of the U.S. espionage work being conducted here in South Korea has been “acquired privately” by the Korean Foreign Ministry via the South Korean government through its own media outlets. Many of the more than 1,000 South Korean employees at the Yulu National Security Information Center in Pyeongtaek, North Korea, are paid by the Korean government through an opaque company called THRADIC which provides them for free. The following is from a 2014 report issued by the Center for Strategic and International Studies based on data collected by THRADIC from North Korean agents in North Korea.

That report concluded:

North Korea’s efforts to acquire U.S. intelligence information to support regime change policy are consistent with U.S. official and international international law. A clear finding that both of these sources are U.S.-sponsored
